Kenya has repatriated to the United Kingdom four vehicles alleged to have gone missing   and shipped into the country in April.
The high end vehicles include a black Range Rover Sport Vogue Autobiography, a black range rover sport, a white Mercedes Benz GLE and a Black Range Rover Sports Autobiography.
A security multi agency team drawn from the Director of Criminal Investigation Kenya Revenue Authority, the Interpol Kenya, National Crime Agency and the National Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service NaVCIS based in the United Kingdom and local UK police from Sea Ports around London led the crackdown leading to the seizure.
They were seized during the visit of the previous visit of the British High Commissioner to the Mombasa port on April 24th 2019.
The stolen vehicles have been reported by their owners in the UK with each car retailing at over ksh 10 million.
The vehicles had been destined for various countries in East Africa many of them through the port of Mombasa.
The coordination between different Kenyan government agencies in partnership with the international security agents has since then recovered more than 20 high end vehicles stolen from the UK and all valued at Ksh 130 million.
In a joint press release to the media on Friday by KRA KPA and the DCI reiterated their commitment in combating serious organized crime impacting Kenyans.
