The Director of Criminal Investigations in Mombasa County has arrested three suspects linked to the murder of former Kilifi deputy governor Kennedy Kamto.

The suspects were arrested on Friday morning at Kisumu Ndogo area Nyali sub county, Mombasa County.

A mobile phone allegedly stolen from Kamto’s house girl during the Jamhuri day eve last year was also recovered.

The detectives are in pursuit of more suspects linked to the ex governor.
The DCI used Forensic Scene Analysis lab to nab the suspects.

On Jamhuri day, Kilifi County boss Amason Kingi called on the DCI to immediately unearth the killers.

Kingi says such cases have become rampant.

He lamented “We are saddened by the killing of our former DG Kamto. These cases have become rampant in Nyali Sub County"

On his part Mombasa County governor Ali Hassan Joho urged the investigation department to speed up the investigation process.

“I call on the CID to do something about this killing” Joho noted

Meanwhile, Mombasa County Commissioner Evans Achoki assured the political class that the killers would soon be exposed.

We are calling on the politicians to stay calm as detectives probe into the killing of the former DG” Achoki said.

Wanyonyi urged both the operators to register with the union to avoid being misled by what she claims are quack organisations. She urged the department concerned with registering cooperatives and other associations touching on the informal trans...
