Makueni County clergy warn politicians against engaging in early 2022 campaigns.

A Redeemed gospel church clergy from Makueni County wants the politicians to preach unity instead adding that authority comes from God. He says Kenyan is a peaceful country that should not be divided along tribal inclinations by politicians. The legislator says agriculture being the backbone of the country, needs to be scaled up to benefit the population. “I’m here to meet the Mombasa chapter ASK organizing committee. Preparations are underway. We need to insist youth to attend this show,” he said. He was speaking to journalists at the Agricultural Society of Kenya ASK ground on Tuesday after meeting ASK officials. Mwinyi also wants the county department of agriculture to scale up innovation among the youths. “There is so much that we need to learn from this show. It is not wise for Mombasa County to depend so much from other counties. We also have the opportunity to produce agricultural goods,” said Mwinyi.

Foreign firms warned against breaching contract policy

Cabinet secretary in charge of Trade Peter Munya speaking at the Architectural Association of Kenya AAK convention said some foreign business entities use dubious means to flout the rule. According to Munya it is a requirement that government contracts with foreign firms, 40 per cent goods and services provided should at least be locally sourced.   CS Munya says it denies Kenyans of their job opportunities. “Foreign firms usually give you something that is less, like bush clearing and other demeaning services. According to the CS, these drug traffickers undermine government’s efforts to contain the menace. He also warned juvenile gangs that have been terrorizing locals in the region. “I do not want to tell you what we shall do but I want to assure you that it will be a painful exercise that we shall confront head on. We shall implement the plan and I shall supervise it,” said the CS.
