Mombasa county logo By Peter Kombe The department of Trade Tourism and Investment in Mombasa county has piloted the Mombasa Business to Government B2G feedback system geared towards improving the quality of government to business delivery. According to senior departmental officials, the system will enable businesses to relay feedback to the government which will in turn collect analyze and respond to queries. Addressing stakeholders in Mombasa during an awareness forum at the Governors premises on Thursday Chief Officer in charge of Trade Tourism and Investment Abdulwahab Mubarak said the system set for a mega launch on Friday is the first of its kind throughout the country. The police commander says the police department has set its gears to ensure that the county remains drug free. By Peter Kombe A man was on Monday arraigned in a Mombasa law court on for allegedly defiling a minor It is alleged that the accused, Nyawa Nyabuga defiled a nine year old girl at Shonda village in Likoni Sub County on February 8. The accused denied the charges leveled against him before senior resident magistrate Martin Rabera. He was fined a bond of ksh 300,000 with a surety of the same amount. The case will be mentioned on March four this year.

By Peter Kombe The nutrition department in partnership with Mombasa County is set to launch a lactating facility at Huduma Centre Mombasa county geared towards enhancing exclusive breastfeeding among lactating mothers. The facility which is currently operational is set for a launch in early March. According to Mombasa County Nutrition Coordinator Esha Bakari the facility will ensure that working class mothers and the public breastfeed their infants exclusively. “This facility is currently complete and in use. This will enable breastfeeding mothers to lactate their babies.
