The ministry expressed concern on the impact of deforestation adding that it has tremendously contributed to the impacts of global warming. Speaking to journalists in Mombasa on Monday during the launch of the REDD+ academy, Ministry of Environment and Forestry Permanent secretary Betty Maina insisted that it is the responsibility of every Kenyan to conserve traditional forests. “When someone cuts a tree it is not the responsibility of the government but of the individual. Kenya repatriates 4 stolen cars back to the UK.

BY OUR REPORTER Kenya has repatriated to the United Kingdom four vehicles alleged to have gone missing     and shipped into the country in April. The high end vehicles include a black Range Rover Sport Vogue Autobiography, a black range rover sport, a white Mercedes Benz GLE and a Black Range Rover Sports Autobiography.   A security multi agency team drawn from the Director of Criminal Investigation Kenya Revenue Authority, the Interpol Kenya, National Crime Agency and the National Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service NaVCIS based in the United Kingdom and local UK police from Sea Ports around London led the crackdown leading to the seizure. They were seized during the visit of the previous visit of the British High Commissioner to the Mombasa port on April 24 th 2019. The stolen vehicles have been reported by their owners in the UK with each car retailing at over ksh 10 million. National dialogue is essential in addressing weekly demos- activists tell government

The activists argue that SGR debate is a matter of public interest and should not be taken for granted. The director further says the documentary will sensitize the public on the youth friendly facilities developed by the county that the public has little or no information about. “The county has sought our partnership so that we, DAYO can design a video documentary that will highlight the achievements in the health sector since 2013 to date,” said Seif. According to the youths the commodities are insufficient and cannot suffice the needs of young people. Network for Adolescent and Youth of Africa NAYA planning monitoring and evaluation manager Dennis Otundo says most of the commodities are supplied by Kenya Medical Supplies Agency KEMSA which he claims takes too long to be disbursed. “There is no enough commodities within the county. The activists say mental health and stress is becoming rampant among the youthful age. According to the activists stress leads to frustrations in life, suicide and drug and substance abuse among other vices. The legislator says agriculture being the backbone of the country, needs to be scaled up to benefit the population. “I’m here to meet the Mombasa chapter ASK organizing committee. Preparations are underway. We need to insist youth to attend this show,” he said. He was speaking to journalists at the Agricultural Society of Kenya ASK ground on Tuesday after meeting ASK officials. Mwinyi also wants the county department of agriculture to scale up innovation among the youths. “There is so much that we need to learn from this show.
