Baadhi ya jamii ya watu wanaoishi na ulemavu wameombwa kukoma kulalamika na badala yake wajitokeze katika kutafuta nyadhifa za uongozi katika jamii.

Akizungumza na wanahabari kaunti ya Mombasa mkurugenzi wa shirika la kutetea haki za walemavu la Pamoja Twaweza Ruth Awinja amesema hulka ya walemavu ya kualalamika kila mara haiwasaidii kivyovyote.

Amesema kuwa ni jukumu la walemavu hao kuapata elimu ya kutosha kama wakenya wengine ili kupata nafasi hizo.

Hata hivyo amesistiza kuwa shirika hilo huangazia masuala yanayoathiri walemavu mashinani.

Kwa upande wake, Mkalla Shanga mmoja wa walemavu hao amesistiza haja ya kuzingatiwa kwa sheria ya kuwateua walemavu katika nyadifa za uongozi.

Ameongeza kuwa maswala ya walemavu ni haki yao ya kimsingi hivyo ni sharti yetekelezwe.
