Visa vya kutotoa ushahidi mahamakani miongoni mwa watoto waliodhulumiwa kimapenzi huenda vikafikia kikomo baada ya shirika la kijamii la HAKI YETU kusambaza jumla ya masanduku 10 maalum ukanda wa pwani yanayonuia kuwakinga watoto wakati wanapotoa ushahidi mahakamani.

Akizungumza na wanahabari jana jioni hapa jijini Mombasa wakili wa shirika hilo Trizer Gicheru amesema vifaa hivyo vitasaidia pakubwa kupatikana kwa haki miongoni mwa watoto.

Wakili huyo aidha amedokeza kuwa mara nyingi visa vingi vinavyohusisha dhulma dhidi ya watoto hufifia kutokana na ukosefu wa ushahidi.

Wakati uo huo, mkurugenzi wa shirika hilo Father Gabriel Dolan amesema vifaa hivyo vitarahisisha kupatikana kwa haki miongoni mwa watoto.

Dolan hata hivyo ametoa changamoto kwa idara ya mahakama nchini kukumbatia mradi huo ili kusaidia kupungua kwa visa hivyo nchini.

Vifaa hivyo al maarufu ‘Child Protection Boxes vyenye thamani ya shilingi laki tano vitasambazwa katika kaunti zote za pwani.
