Katibu katika wizara ya habari, mawasiliano na teknologia Jerome Ochieng ametaka kuwepo kwa ushirikiano mwema baina ya serikali na sekta ya kibinafsi ili kukuza na kuendeleza mfumo wa mawasiliano ya kimtandao nchini.

Akizungumza leo hapa jijini Mombasa katibu huyo amesema serikali inafanya kila jitihada ili kuboresha huduma za mtandao katika sekta nchini.

Katibu huyo hata hivyo amedokeza kuwa ili kuafikia malengo hayo serikali kupitia kwa wizara hiyo inanuia kuwekeza zaidi katika miundo misingi ya mawasiliano na teknolojia.

Ameongeza kuwa wizara hiyo itawekeza zaidi katika mfumo wa mawasiliano ya nyaya za baharini ili kurahisisha utenda kazi katika sekta mbali mbali za serikali.

Jerome aidha amesistiza kuwa wizara hiyo itahakikisha kuwa mradi wa Mama Ngina uliozinduliwa hivi majuzi na rais Uhuru Kenyatta unaunganishwa na huduma za kimtandao ili kurahisisha mawasiliano eneo hilo.
